Any Machine In Your Shop Can Have A Computer Interface
Any plc-controlled machine from the simplest to the most complex can have its own custom interface, matched to your needs. Once applied, your machine can now do anything a PC can do....measure output, OEE, send Emails, or sound alarms. Data from the machine can be sent to your network. Our custom software generally connects to your machine with only an RS-232 or USB connection and does not require custom cards to be installed in the PC. The control pictured below measures pressed parts....each part is scanned in and the machine is set up up from a database in the PC. The operator is presented in real time machine operation conditions. What data do you want from your machine?
Here was a good one. The customer had an old machine with a 20" or so diameter 2-pointer gage that cost many dollars to calibrate and about $5000 to replace. The gage was replaced with the program below. The machine simply plugged into the USB port and in addition to indicating pressures, performed calculations previously done by hand. For the $1500 less than the cost of one replacement gage, we built the customer an interface for two machines.
